Card Colour Choices

Some stationery items such as the invites with mounting or booklet invitations require the use of card other than that which is printed on. This card can be any colour that is able to be purchased.  We primarily use Canford card, which is a 300gsm quality card made by Daler Rowney.  They make a high quality card which comes in 37 colours.  Other suppliers can be used where this choice of colours is not sufficient and card with metallic or pearlescent effects can also be sourced (although please note that booklet invitations require card which has colour on both side – which reduces some of the choices available). 

Other suppliers include Eco-Craft which supply recycled cardstock and have a useful vintage range of slightly faded colours.  Papermill Direct which stocks some useful different colours to Canford card though these can change with no notice and is a thinner card.

Below are photos which represent a selection of the card we use. If you want something not shown please contact us. We have tried to replicate the colours of the card as closely as possible. Card swatches can be sent with samples. You may also want to check the manufacturers websites for their own colour charts.
